We are excited to announce that we are adding a new Physician Associate to Advantage Orthopedic this Fall. Grace Tudor, P.A. grew up in the Midwest, in East Peoria, Illinois, where she lived through her High School years.  From there, she moved to San Diego, California where she spent ten years. During this time, she traveled a lot – following her passion for surfing which took her to Honduras and eventually to Costa Rica where she lived for some time.

Grace met her husband in San Diego and they eventually moved to the Reno/Tahoe area. During her time there, she attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Neuroscience. While finishing school she started working as a ski patroller at Tahoe. She enjoyed working at the base station where she was exposed to working with medical patients and decided to pursue her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.  From there, her interest blossomed and she began working in the Emergency Room as an ER tech and then a scribe.  She was first introduced to the career as a Physician’s Associate when she was in her 30’s and went to a dermatologist and was treated by a PA.  She enjoyed the interaction with the Physician Associate so much that she ended up shadowing him to learn more about the career and decided that was the path for her. She attended Oregon Health & Science University, School of Medicine in Portland, OR, where she completed her training in the Physician Assistant Program and received a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. During PA school, she found she was interested in and enjoyed the clinic rotations and specifically found that she enjoyed surgery.  She spent a significant amount of time shadowing providers in Sports Medicine where she learned about the value of of injury prevention and rehabilitation. Grace enjoys working with patients to make sure they understand all the options to care for an injury and that they know how to prevent future injuries.

When she is not working, Grace keeps busy with her young, 4-year-old daughter. She loves being active and continues to enjoy surfing and skiing. She also likes yoga, visiting the gym and rowing. She is excited to be in Oregon where things are green and it rains from time-to-time.  She is also thrilled to be working in her dream job as a Sports Medicine provider.

Scheduling for Grace will be available in mid-October.
