The season of giving is officially here, and with it comes an opportunity to make a meaningful impact right in our own community. From November 3rd through December 20th, we’re excited to host our annual Food & Toy Drive, collecting non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys to support local families during the holiday season.
This time of year can be especially difficult for many, and even small acts of generosity can create big moments of relief and joy. Whether it’s a warm meal or a new toy that brings a smile to a child’s face, your contribution truly matters.

Donations can be dropped off now through December 20th at our office. We’ve made it simple—just bring in your items during our regular hours and place them in the donation boxes inside.
To help ensure we’re gathering items that are most useful to families, we’re following the recommended list from the Oregon Food Bank. According to the resource you shared, here are some of the most helpful categories of food items to consider donating:
Peanut butter
Canned or pouched meats (chicken, tuna, chili, beef stew, etc.)
Beans (canned or dry)
Rice & pastas
Canned fruits & vegetables
Flour, masa, sugar
Cereals & baking mixes
Cooking oil
Ground coffee
Spices
Baby food & formula (must have at least 3 months before expiration)
Pet food
Bottled water
Please note: All items must be unopened, and for safety reasons, the Oregon Food Bank cannot accept refrigerated or frozen items, homemade goods, or bread products.
Alongside food donations, we are also collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Board games, dolls, books, puzzles, crafts, and sensory toys are all wonderful options. Your gift may be the one that makes a child feel seen, loved, and remembered this holiday season.
Every donation—whether it’s a single can of food or a full box of toys—helps brighten the holidays for families right here in our community. These small acts of kindness ripple outward, creating hope, warmth, and connection during a time when people need it most.
And giving isn’t just about the items—it’s about the message behind them:
You matter. We care. You’re not alone.
We invite you, your family, and your friends to be part of this meaningful effort. Your generosity can help create fuller cupboards, happier holidays, and more hopeful hearts.
Let’s come together and make a real difference.
