Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine

Albright newDr. Albright decided at a young age that he wanted to ski at Dartmouth College, study medicine and become an orthopedic surgeon. Over time he accomplished all three goals.
One reason Dr. Albright moved to Oregon was for the outdoors. He is an enthusiastic skier, snowboarder, windsurfer, surfer, stand-up paddleboarder and mountain biker who competes on the North American Windsurfing Tour. Quite a few of his windsurfing and skiing friends have ended up as his patients, including top-tier athletes, and they appreciate the insight he brings as a competitive athlete who also happens to be a top-notch surgeon.
Not all of Dr. Albright's patients are professional athletes. Most are regular people with everyday injuries. He prefers to pursue non-surgical options first and use surgery only as a last resort after learning as much as possible about the injury and its effects. If surgery is needed, he is experienced in everything from routine arthroscopy to full hip replacements.
His knee replacement patient Dianne B. said of her experience with Dr. Albright: "the quality of my life has been given back to me."
Dr. Albright and his wife have three girls who are all young ski racers. They travel frequently as a family.

Davidson newDr. Davidson likens the work of orthopedic surgery to the work of a handyman. Instead of working with wood, metal and concrete, he works on bones, tendons and muscles, fixing structural problems to help bring people back to their favorite sports and activities.
Dr. Davidson enjoys interacting with his patients and helping them to understand the mechanics of their injuries, so they can be part of the solution. He sees his medical practice as challenging, rewarding work, and he wakes up each morning looking forward to doing what he loves to do.
In his spare time, Dr. Davidson is an avid pilot who has loved planes since he was a kid and has been flying since 1998. He also enjoys running, hiking and joining his wife and two sons for sports events and family activities. He has served as a team physician for Gresham High School since 2001.

Mineo newDr. Mineo was a competitive triathlete and skier in college who decided to become a podiatrist after going through several surgeries and working for a stint as a ski boot fitter. As a skier, cyclist, drummer and race car driver, he recognizes the importance of an active lifestyle, and his goal is to help his patients overcome their injuries to return to their healthy lives.
Dr. Mineo's practice is largely trauma, sports medicine and deformity correction. This can range from minor procedures for bunions and hammertoes to major surgery. He is one of a handful of practitioners in Oregon who is certified to do total ankle joint replacement.
Dr. Mineo's philosophy of care emphasizes open communication with patients and empowering them to take an active role in determining the right treatment plan. He wants patients to feel safe, comfortable and well-informed during treatment, knowing that he will serve as their advocate.
Dr. Mineo's patient Jeri Smith says, "I would recommend him without a doubt and without hesitation, and I would go back to him in a heartbeat."
Dr. Mineo keeps a busy schedule as a surgeon, but he also manages to carve out time for skiing, racing cars and traveling to Central Oregon and Colorado.
